What is an Owner-Occupied Home Loan?

Owner-occupied financing is when the borrower will be residing in the property that they are buying. Generally speaking, these loans tend to come with lower interest rates, fees and penalties than a second home mortgage or a loan for an investment property. Why? Because they present less risk to the lender.

If this is your first property, you may be eligible for a $10,000 grant under the First Home Owner’s Grant (New Homes); the NSW First Home Buyer Assistance Scheme; or another form of exemption or assistance.
